The idea of creating something that didn’t exist before has always been fascinating to Swedish songwriter and producer Simon Janlöv. With a background consisting of Jazz studies, as well as touring with rock bands, the core of his musicianship has always been composition.

After getting exposed to Japanese pop music at the age of 23, the pieces fell into place. Today, Simon’s international take on J-pop has given him the opportunity of writing for many of the biggest pop artists in the market and contributing with his songs on multiple gold and platinum awarded records.
